Visit photographer Glenn Feron's web site to learn how retouching makes plain women pretty, pretty women gorgeous, and curvy women preposterously pneumatic.

Even before retouching, Halle Berry looks pretty damn good. But a little Photoshop works wonders on the best of us.

Yeah, a professionally styled, artfully lit, Photoshopped version of me would be HOTT.

That's it. I want to be retouched before big dates and important interviews.

Here's another example.

Of course, you can take retouching much too far.

Personally, I find the whole thing really insidious. It does, after all, make the photograph a big fat deliberate lie, intended to deceive. And that's before we even start to talk about eating disorders.

I saw a great web site once where people took photos of famous stars from magazines, and Photoshopped them again, adding blemishes and fat back again to produce a more realistic look.

That second one: freakishly! big! eyes! It looks like the photographer just cut-and-pasted the same 2 or 3 pairs of eyes onto every face. Nightmarish.
